NBA Rules- Technical Fouls
When the following situations occur during the game, the referee can whistle a technical foul, and two technical fouls will result in ejection.
- Excess suspension
When the team has used up the number of timeouts, if it still applies for a timeout, it will be a technical foul.
- Delay the game
The main situations that delay the game include blocking the serve, interfering with the ball after the opponent's shot or free throw, not passing the ball to the nearest referee immediately after a personal foul or violation, touching the ball before the opponent throws in, and obstructing the normal game. At the beginning, the player's coach or trainer interferes with the out-of-bounds ball, and the player does not tuck his jersey into his shorts when he enters the court after the referee's signal.
- Substitution violation
A substitute player enters the court without the referee's permission, and the player returns after being disqualified from the game.
- Baskets, backboards and basket stands
A player intentionally hanging from the basket, net, backboard or basket (when a player takes a hanging action to prevent himself or other players from being injured, it is not considered a technical foul).
- Violation of sports ethics
Insulting the referee, having physical contact with the referee, openly dissatisfied with the referee's call, using profane language, the coach entering the stadium without the referee's permission (Weibo), deliberately waving elbows or any irrelevant physical contact, and yelling during the game.
